Overcoming an angry vagina

"SO many women underestimate the role and power of their wombs as they try their utmost to fit into a stress-ladened lifestyle that undervalues their roles as women," said Queen Afua, chief executive officer of the Queen Afua Wellness Institute.

"I think it is safe to say that most women forget that they have been blessed with the enormous capacity to not only love unconditionally but also co-create life itself. This dis-jointed approach to life promotes frustration, which in turn produces anger on a number of different levels. This energy left un-channelled destroys the very essence of who we are and along with it the balance we bring to life. I advocate that the only way this can be addressed is if we focus on the place where we all came from- the womb," she said.

"Overcoming An Angry Vagina - A Journey To Womb Wellness" is the newest book by Queen Afua. Her previous book, "Sacred Woman: A Guide to Healing the Feminine Body, Mind and Spirit", sold more than a million copies worldwide.

Last weekend, she hosted a workshop on this topic for both men and women at the Bahamas National Trust where she shared techniques to prevent womb issues such as "fibroid tumors, pre and post menstrual syndrome, sexually transmitted diseases, "menopausal madness and emotional womb drama".

Her one woman show, titled: "If Your Vagina Could Speak, What Would She Say?" was the theme of the weekend, according to organiser Rhonda Wright, founder of Seedlings Place.

"An angry vagina comes in many, many forms. A vagina, or a woman's womb is what makes us women. For the health of every woman each of her bodies - mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical - must be in balance to have wellness. When they are not in balance this is what we call having an angry vagina," said Mrs Wright.

"That anger comes in many forms. She could be depressed, emotionally distraught because of a toxic relationship; maybe she has had several abortions; maybe she has a sexually transmitted disease; maybe she has been physically abused, or stressed at work; maybe she has fibroids, cysts, tumors. That is how the anger manifests itself," she said.

Queen Afua has 30 years of experience as a holistic health therapist, specialising in family wellness, colon cleansing, hatha yoga, raw food living and spiritual empowerment.

Title: Listen

I think a lot of people are missing the concept of the topic. Women, how many times have you suffered anguish for something that occurred in your vagina? How many women have suffered from sexual violence, sexual abuse, attempting to love someone the wrong way, thinking that if you have sex with someone they will stay or make the situation better? When it doesnt work out the way we want it, it can internalize and turn into overeating, stress, depression which can cause adverse symptoms on your health. Respect your womb, vagina, and change the way you eat and think. HOTEP

Title: Therapeutic

I would like to comprehend, why, a newspaper such as the Tribune would choose/advance the publication of such an unsubstantive and unscientific article. This is a supportive stance. (Please don't patronise me with 'freedom of the press ect. ect) This is irresponsible journalism!. There is so much authentic scientific research and information out there that would be helpful and potetially therapeutic. Why on earth would you choose to expose and promote this superstitious nonsence, in a country that has a void where rational scientific enlightenment should be....This is a unconsionable position to take; as the first law of 'physics' states: For every action there is an equal and opposite re-action. Just imagine that somebody (who has a life-challenging condition) chooses to 'believe' this stuff, rather than go to the doctors. That the 'subliminal message' is that their illness is basicallly emotionally based. How damaging is that! AND!...just think of the potential consequences. My illness is MY FAULT....I can deal with this alone/via religion ect ect. Don't think this does not happen because I personally have experianced this in Nassau....superstition is rampant in the Bahamas. I know you know this....Do not feed this, PLEASE! Think of the consequences! FIRST!

Title: Queen 'A' has left the planet!

Oh dear Oh dear!; What century are we in? This is (potentially dangerous) medievel madness!
Where is the science....the rational....????
Bad enough to imagine that (you, the author) have an insight into this (bazzar) subject personally.....But to have the audacity to write this hocus-pocus for some publisher to publish (wonders never cease!)....AND for some poor unsuspecting reader to read. This should be a crime against humanity. I can assure you;
I have never...NEVER had an 'angry vagina' however when I read bunkum such as this....my 'rational' mind is in total wonderment at the banality of it all. Please spare us your 'flights of fanny'...sorry! I mean 'flights of fancy'.
I'm sure (however) your are convinced by 'your-self' and that your ego will still soar!....MORES THE PITY. Please...please go work in K.F.C. where you will do some good.
