Funeral Service for the world renowned artist, Amos Isaac Ferguson, 89 of Amos Ferguson Street, and formally of the Forest, Exuma, died at the home of his niece on Monday, 19th October 2009. and will be held  on Saturday October 31st 2009 at 10:00am at Salem Union Baptist Church Taylor Street, Officiating will be Rev. Charles W. Saunders assisted by other minister of the gospel and Interment will follow in Woodlawn Gardens Soldier Road.

 He is survived by the entire linage of his late wife, Bloneva (Bea) Ferguson: Eulamae Patton and Family, Arabella Tinker and Family, Eralean Wilson and family, Levi and Laura Wilson and family. 10 Nieces: Judy Symonette, Francina Bethel, Gloria Ferguson-Bastian, Patricia Ferguson, Barbara Ferguson , Cynthia Ferguson, Elvina Bastian, Maria Clarke, Ethel Clarke, and Lorraine Bastian-Jones. 10 Nephews: Jonathon Adderley, Pastor Ronald Bastian, Foster, George, Leroy and  Patrick Bastian, Clifford Clarke, Robert, Ricardo, and Glenroy Ferguson. 19 Grand Nephews:       Javin Adderley, Renaldo and Andrew Bethel, Ceron Bastian, Koffi Bastian,  Lamond Bastian, Vaklev Bastian, Shawn Bastian, Bradley Clarke, Clifford Clarke, Deneil Clarke, Deanza Russell, Carlos Clarke, Deangelo Clarke, Kenson Woodside, Federick Fox, Ricardo Ferguson r., Jayson Ferguson and Reyo Cox. 21 Grand Nieces: Ashli Bastian, Jessica Ferguson, Lorinda Bastian, Patricia Ferguson, Nakisia Charlton, Javotte Thompson, Tia Bastian, Shandles Bastian, Amarlyia Edwards, Sherlanka Gaitor, Glendira Ferguson, Latoya Ferguson, Jessica Ferguson, Lana Turner, Moesha Ferguson, Keva Russell, Alicia Adderley, Sophia Wilkinson, Nicole Allen, Latisha Knowles, and Lamysha Cox. 2 Brothers-in-Law:  Hysal Bastian and Audlin Clarke 4 Nephews-in-law: Andrew Bethel, Larry Bastian, Kermit Bastian and Rev. Floyd Jones; 2 Nieces-in-law:  Keyshan Cartwright-Bastian and Blossimae Clarke. Other relatives include: Rev. Dr. Charles W. Saunders (Amos’ closest friend, cousin and confidant) and family, Rev. R. E. Cooper and Family, Rev. Dr. Irvin Clarke and family, Dorothy Ferguson Horton and family; Catherine Roker and family, Olive Adderley, Edna Newbold and family, Stella Mackey and Family, Gwendolyn Rolle and family, Betty McDonald Dobbs and Family, Janet McDonald-Moncur and Family, Euna Rolle and family, Antonius Roberts and family, Alvan K. Rolle and family, the entire Clarke, Ferguson and Rolle families of Exuma, the Armbrister Browns and Curtis families. Also in grief at Mr. Ferguson’s passing are: the family of Salem Baptist Church; Sister Lucile Flowers and family, the entire Engleston community, especially the residents of Amos Ferguson Street; especially, Allan Smith and family, Franklyn Pennerman and family, Patrick McQuay and Family, Dave Jackson and family,  the Exuma Community, especially the Forest, the officers and members of Palestine Baptist Church; Officers and members of the Exumian Elevating Association, Rev. Floyd Jones and family, Bishop B. Wenith Davis and family, Pastor Charles T. Dorsett and Family, Keith Bell and family, Goran Bethel and family, Dr. Christina Nwosa and family, Christine Humes and family, Myrtle Storr and family, Viola Roberts and family, Loranna Lloyd and family, Francis Smith and Family, Dr. Keva Bethel and family, Erica James, Keith Bell and Family, Rochelle Major and Family, Dianna McKenzie and family, Vivian Sealy and Maud Rolle; Pam and Jackson Burnside, Andrew and Anne Rogers, Laurie Carmody Ahner and family of St. Louis, MO., Tom and Karen Neworth of West Virginia;

 Viewing will be held in the Serenity Suite at Restview Mortuary and Crematorium Ltd. Robinson and Soldier Roads on Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm and at the church on Saturday from 8:30am to service time.
