Man shot and robbed

A 26-YEAR-OLD man was shot in his thigh and robbed of jewelry on Friday night.

Police say that sometime around 9.30pm they received reports of a shooting at Podoleo Street, off Cordeaux Ave.

According to reports, the victim was approached by a man armed with a handgun. The gunman robbed the man of his jewelry, shot him in his leg, and then fled the scene.

Police are investigating.

THREE men were arrested on Friday night after police discovered a small amount of marijuana in their vehicle.

According to reports, sometime around 10.55pm, officers on mobile patrol in the area of Marathon Road and Robinson Road observed three men in a white Chevy Impala acting suspiciously.

The officers stopped and searched the vehicle. They discovered a small quantity of marijuana inside.

The three men aged 44, 25 and 24 are helping with inquiries.

POLICE seized a small amount of ecstasy and marijuana yesterday afternoon after executing a search warrant on a home at Joe Farrington Road.

According to reports, officers discovered a small amount of marijuana and a small amount of suspected ecstasy tablets.

Two men aged 26 and 37 are helping with inquiries.
