BAHAMIAN law firm Higgs & Johnson has been awarded the World Quality Commitment (WQC) International Star Award in the Gold category by Business Initiative Directions (B.I.D).

The award is part of B.I.D's annual programme that recognises leading companies, organisation and businessmen for their skills in leadership and business management; business and brand name prestige; quality and excellence; and use of technology, innovation and projection.

Candidates are assessed on a criteria taken from the QC100 Total Quality Management model, which focused on a customer-centred approach, job satisfaction, system efficiency, leadership, technology renewal and focus on the company's most profitable areas.

Higgs & Johnson said B.I.D informed it that it had shown "excellence in leadership within each designated sector, increased market share and improved results, as well as sustainability".
