HUNDREDS of mourners gathered on Saturday at a funeral service for 18-year-old college student Keisha Alicia Thurston.

Family and friends packed the Abundant Life Bible Chapel, at Abundant Life Road, on Saturday for the funeral service.

Ms Thurston, who was laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, was a recent CC Sweeting High School graduate.

She was found hanged inside her family home on McKinney Drive on February 28.

Police, who are investigating the incident, have described her death as an "apparent suicide".
