Man Dead In Shooting, Two Killed In Traffic Accident

Police are investigating a shooting incident that has left a man dead.

The incident reportedly occurred around 10.45pm on Sunday at Lincoln Boulevard north of Cordeaux Avenue.

Preliminary reports indicate that gunshots were heard and a short time later, the deceased, believed to be in his mid-twenties, was discovered lying in the street with gunshot injury to the upper body.

At present police are uncertain of the circumstances surrounding this incident.


Police are also investigating a traffic accident that has left two people dead.

According to reports around 11:40 pm on Sunday police were notified of the accident which occurred on East Street, south of Gibbs Corner and involved a 2004, navy blue Mitsubishi Lancer.

At present police are uncertain of the circumstances surrounding this incident; however, police can confirmed that four people, two males and two females were the occupants of the vehicle.

The male driver along with the front seat passenger was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where they are detained in serious condition.

The rear seat passengers, a male and a female succumbed to their injuries at the scene.


Police are questioning a 24-year-old male of Conch Sound, Andros in connection with a recent shooting.

The incident reportedly occurred around 11:30 pm on Sunday at a business establishment in Morgan’s Bluff.

Preliminary reports indicate that the victim, a resident of Lowe Sound, Andros got into an altercation with a male known to him and was subsequently shot to the buttocks.

The 34 year old was airlifted to New Providence where he is detained in hospital in stable condition.

Police at Andros arrested the suspect a short time later. Active police investigations continue.
