Former Police Constable Toni Sweeting was arraigned moments ago in connection with last Friday's cocaine seizure at the Lynden Pindling International Airport.

Commissioner of Police Ellison Greenslade said that Mrs. Sweeting was terminated from the Royal Bahamas Police Force this morning over a "unrelated matter" before she was charged on Nassau Street.

Mrs. Sweeting was charged along with her brother, Delano Sweeting in the matter.

Truly the thin edge of the wedge. I really try to be positive about our Police Force but, time and time again they disappoint us. In recent months we have learned of their brutality in handling suspects, stealing, being involved in numerous crimes and now this. Leads me to believe that we need to revisit the entry standards for this organization and the RBDF. Joe Clark said "One bad apple spoils the bunch. What about 300? Rotten, rotten to the core." In this our 40th year as a nation, some drastic measures have to be made to curb our social decline.

The Bahamas now has come to the end of the Phenomenon Of Ritualistic Crime - Toni Sweeting was banished from the RBPF by someone she didnt see as an enemy.
