The Professional Engineers Board has met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Works and Urban Development to update him on the drafting of regulations to accompany the Act overseeing the profession.
During the meeting with Philip E. Davis, and Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Works, Renward Wells, the Board sought the Government’s support for its work.
It also wanted to ensure that all engineers working for the Government directly, or as consultants, were registered engineers in accordance with the Act.
The Deputy Prime Minister pledged his personal support, that of his Ministry and the Government, for the Board’s work and requested it keep him updated on matters that could have impact the engineering profession and the Bahamian people.
