One hundred and five (105) persons have participated in an Entrepreneur Empowerment Workshop hosted by Mark A. Turnquest and The Small Business Resource Centre.
The event’s main sponsor was the Bahamas Development Bank, and Marcus Cunningham, assistant manager of its credit department, spoke about the importance of personal and business financial planning.
The workshop’s three main goals were to provide information on how to start, manage and grow a business in an effective and efficient manner; enlighten new entrepreneurs and existing SME owners on how to successfully prepare and execute business plans; and provide an update on the progress of the SME Act, SME Development Agency and VAT.
Mr Turnquest explained all sections of business planning and execution through a new training mode,l entitled ‘8 Ms of Entrepreneurial Success’.
Another workshop will be held on January 18, 2014, in Abaco.
