EDITOR, The Tribune.
Thanking you in advance for allowing me space in your most valuable paper to debate on the 12-hour shift placed on the police:-
In response to the recent radio announcements about all of the stress, etc., that has been placed on the police, by taking on these 12-hour shifts by the Government.
The writer has viewed it as a negative effect on policemen, carrying out their duties properly from its inception, and now wonders why such a 12-hour shift was implemented in the first place.
What the writer thought would make better sense, and rational for The Bahamas Police Force, in carrying out more effectively their duties, in slowing up and combating the high rise of crime in the country is simple! More manpower, recruit a higher number of men and women who are devoted, honest and willing to give service.
