Court plumbing issue fixed

BUSINESS is expected to continue as usual today at the magistrates’ court complex after a plumbing issue that caused sewage back-up over the past two days was fixed.

Cases were adjourned yesterday due to the partial flooding in the foyer and cellblock of the compound which produced an unbearable stench for staff, police, civilians and remand prisoners.

The Tribune understands that the issue was immediately fixed following the closure of the compound at 1pm.

The multi-million dollar South and Nassau Streets complex was opened in January 2012.
