A MAN was allegedly run over by a car and kidnapped moments after he robbed another man of his cell phone and shoes Monday night.

It happened around 10pm.

Police say a man was in the Nassau Village area, when another man, armed with a handgun, demanded his cell phone and shoes.

In the process of taking off his shoes, a grey coloured Nissan Altima, license place number 11924, ran over the suspect. Two men got out of the vehicle, picked up the gun from the ground and threw the man into the trunk of their vehicle and sped off.

The man who was being robbed was unharmed. He reported the matter to police and investigations are continuing.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact police at 911 or 919, the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.

Police are also investigating two other armed robberies that occurred in Nassau.

In the first incident, shortly after 8am, a man was on Carmichael Road, when two men armed with a handgun robbed him of cash and jewellery before fleeing on foot.

In the final incident, shortly after 12:30am on Tuesday, a man was standing in front of his home at Colony Village off Prince Charles Drive, when another man, armed with a handgun, robbed him of his cell phone and jewellery before fleeing in a black coloured Honda, which was occupied by two men.

Investigations continue.

The most common phrase uttered by Bahamian police "investigations continue."

Problem solved in the first incident with the criminal being ran over and kidnapped, no further investigation needed, if the same course of action would occur for other criminals, we would have a peaceful nation over time

This sounds like a comedy. Where is the man who was kidnapped? Sheesh how do the police even know who to look for? Hope he's still alive.

well seems that in certain places in NP the odds of the statistics are just working against you. So maybe the crooks should relocate to safer places on the island?

I suspect the guys who was robbing was being sought by the guys who kidnapped him. When they saw him they decided to knock him down and grab him. I am sure they were not trying to help the victim.

If I was the one getting robbed, that story was going to be one I talk around the bar and not to the police.
