A 39-year-old man on bail over a triple murder has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery on Sunday.
According to reports, shortly before 3:00am, Southwestern Division officers were on patrol when a woman reported to them that a man had just robbed her of her 2009 Honda Accord, while on Faith Avenue North.
The officers immediately went into the Faith Avenue area, where they allegedly spotted the vehicle being driven by a lone male suspect. The officers ordered the male to stop the vehicle but he sped off. When officers pursued the vehicle, the suspect brought it to a stop after a short chase and fled on foot dropping a handgun to the ground.
The officers pursued the male suspect and were able to locate and arrest him in nearby bushes. Police conducted a search of the suspect and found a quantity of ammunition in his possession.
The handgun that was dropped to the ground was also recovered.
The 39-year-old is in custody and helping police with their inquiries.

The jails are full of pot smokers. No room for triple murderers and armed robbers. The church will not petition the government to decriminalize marijuana, so we can have room for real criminals.
That is a choice. We can choose to put pot smokers in jail or put murderers in jail. It is simply a choice, and we live with the consequences of that choice every day (not just Sundays).

Why these jackass's don't just legalize marijuana which would allow them to get rid of hundreds of people in prison for small pot possession charges and make room for the serious crime boys out on bail like this idiot.
Not to mention the immediate boost in JOBS AND STOPOVER tourism as experienced in Colorado and Uruguay.

In The Commonwealth of The Bahamas in the 21st century, There are CRIMINALS on BAIL for TRIPLE MURDER! While smokey is serving 1 year in prison! Any organization who claim to be the moral authority in The Bahamas should be outraged!! It's starting to seem like defending HARDCORE CRIMINALS in our Bahamaland is the new 'cash cow'. What many don't seem to realize is that many of the murders happen because of prohibition! NEWSFLASH! Religion cannot 'save' everyone from 'dope' then suddenly we become a crime-free country, amazingly other than Reefer Madness, Pharmaceutical, Alcohol and textile industries 1970's propaganda which they ingeniously mixed with religion, why is Cannabis illegal and Alcohol, polyester and pharmaceuticals with more bad side affects than good is legal? I would go on a limb here to say legalizing Cannabis in The Bahamas may not use much political capital as say Gay Marriage, simply because from a biblical perspective there is no solid basis to oppose it. IMHO it's pure ideological and societal. Borrowing those people money, and taxing everyone to death to pay it back, while not creating no NEW source of revenue with that borrowed cash, but simply using it to pay bills is like the definition of insanity, it's like the 'pay day loan' racket, borrowing other people's money with crazy interest rates! We (Bahamas) are better than this! we cannot let ideology turns us into a crime riddle 'beggars society'! IT'S SIMPLE ECONOMICS! Like I've said in multiple post, Here in the good ole' Southern U.S of A, Cannabis may not be fully legal for a long time, because of this same ideology while states like Colorado and others rake in the cash, crime has DECREASE, and the world DID NOT end! The Bahamas should use this at their advantage, rather than continuously operating in a deficit (Bahamasair aand others) and borrowing money to pay bills or to 'invest' in things that yield no return on investment, Just think progressive, think bold, think future Bahamas. I think even The 'Morality Police' can agree that "The borrower is SLAVE to the lender" that's not only biblical that is a FACT!

I read your postings a lot. it seems as if you have the country's best interest at heart. It's too bad that there aren't many other pastors and or leaders out there who are not caught up in their selfish ways of using the church as a money train. I am sick to my bones from the hypocrisy and other BS that float around in the Bahamas.

One of the big problems in our country is corruption. Every man has his price. Another thing is that many of these folks are related to or friends of politicians, police officers, judges, etc.. If not, they have friends who are friends of these people! You think about what I am saying here. We need to be talking about taking back our country from these folks and have them tried by a tribunal, then severely punished for crimes committed against the Bahamian people.

The Chief Justice did have his say on this. He said the Poitions Nor the police decideds who are granted bail. It is the Judges, so the chief Justice and the Judges must be comfortable with their decisions no matter how many Bahamians are uncomfortable . This was pointed out very vividely by the Chief .JUSTICE

all Bahamians at large are corrupt going through the red light just because there are no cops to watch you all the time like kids need their moms taking sick leave from work just to party letting your kids stay home from school not giving a fare days work and getting paid taking bribes for votes yes we are a corrupt nation
