EDITOR, The Tribune.
I commend the chairman of the FNM for articulating so well the stance previously taken by the PLP on the very same bills now being put before the Bahamian people once again concerning gender equality.
The FNM should also be commended for its co-operation in the face of the cruel and uncaring attitudes exhibited by the “say no” campaign, which the PLP advocated in the print media and over ZNS after they had agreed to the bills in Parliament.
Even worse was the team selected to carry out the despicable plan on various platforms for the sole purpose of gaining votes for the general election.
Even now it is clear that the main purpose is to “make believe” to younger voters that this was their idea alone.
No credit is ever given to others who came before them for any national planning.
An apology is definitely required for all the unnecessary hurt caused to so many people and their families in The Bahamas and those who had to leave The Bahamas in disgust.
