GRAND Bahamian film producer Nathaniel Prince Lewis is expanding his brand as he is set to officially launch a wine brand called “Nathanýel Wines.”

Mr Lewis, whose producer credits include the award-winning films “Politicking in Paradise” and “Jessica’s Wish”, made history last year when he became only one of five Bahamians to screen a film internationally, when his movie “Frapper Avec Amour” screened at the 28th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival in Florida.

Branded as “The Wine of Cinematic Culture in the Bahamas”, the line will serve as the first official product of Mr Lewis’ film studio, Prince Lewis Projects.

In tribute to his native Grand Bahama, the first bottle of the line is called “Gran Bajamar”, which is a 2012 Pinot Noir harvested with the finest California grapes and custom crushed exclusively for the new label, he said.

Speaking about the inspiration for the launch of the brand, the self-proclaimed wine connoisseur said that he has always wanted to venture out and create a branded product, and now that dream is finally a reality.

“I love wine. It’s such a classy and expressive beverage and fits perfectly with the Prince Lewis brand,” Mr Lewis said. “It brings business people together, couples together, communities together, and really complements any occasion. It can be consumed with friends and family at social gathers or solo after a long day of work. It’s affordably priced and offers consumers a high-end product for a reasonable cost. This has been a very long time coming and I’m extremely thrilled about this project.”

To officially launch his wine brand, Mr Lewis has teamed up with nighclub owner Rosaleen Bailey to host a red carpet wine and cheese party this Saturday at Club Neptune’s in the Port Lucaya Marketplace. The event will be officially hosted by Grand Bahama radio personality Teej Grant and Miss Universe Bahamas Tomacina Culmer.

Confirmed VIP guest attending the event are nationally acclaimed artists, Cabinet Ministers, business executives, Grand Bahamian socialites as well as people who have appeared in Mr Lewis’ films, including Minister for Grand Bahama Dr Michael Darville, Senator Tanisha Tynes, Damien Thomas of MVP Entertainment and Nareca Swann of GO Global Bahamas, to name a few.

Tickets for the general public, which include a complimentary glass of Gran Bajamar as well as cheese and fruit hors d’oeuvres, are priced at $35 per person or $150 a bottle; for groups of five tickets are $30 per person.
