Baha Mar ranked among world's top 10 for '15

Baha Mar has been rated one of the world’s top 10 destinations to visit in 2015 by CNN Travel, as a new resort making an impact on luxury travel in the Caribbean.

The $3.5 billion gaming resort, according to CNN Travel, is “expected to send ripples across the Caribbean” when it opens in Spring 2015, with a grand gala produced by music and entertainment icons, Jamie King and Emilio Estefan.

Baha Mar is the only Caribbean resort to land a spot among the top 10 destinations of 2015, ranking alongside other locations including Milan and Abu Dhabi.

Offering four distinct luxury hotel brands – Rosewood at Baha Mar, Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar, SLS LUX at Baha Mar, and the Baha Mar Casino and Hotel, along with a renovated Meli property, Baha Mar has also made the list of 22 ‘don’t-miss travel destinations for 2015’, according to the New York Post.

Baha Mar shared this listing with other luxury properties, including Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina in Hawaii; The Ritz Paris; Park Hyatt Zanzibar; and Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain in China.

According to the Post, when Baha Mar opens, “their wealth of 2,200 rooms will offer a variety of price points and experiences, but the hotels are just the tip of the iceberg.”

Accolades for Baha Mar have also poured in from Forbes Travel Guide, which hails the luxury property as “one of the most impressive resorts in the Caribbean”.

Paul V. Pusateri, Baha Mar’s chief operating officer, said: “Baha Mar is proud to be ranked as one of the must-visit destinations for 2015. We are working to ensure that we provide guests with unforgettable experiences and world-class service that will rival the best resorts in the world, and keep people coming back to the Bahamas for years to come.”

good luck at immigration dear tourists, and bring a full body condom to put on before you sit in a cab, and while you are on sightseeing put on a bullet proof vest. other than that, you will have a fabulous time not to experience what the Bahamas really has to offer its tourists.

you would think you as a Bahamian would be proud to have Bahamar rated as a must see tourist destination for 2015. But based on some of your previous comments im not even sure your a Bahamian. Tourist coming to our country legally will have no issues with immigration! Why again is a condom needed to sit in a cab? and whens the last time youve seen a tourist in a bulletproof vest, stop being an ass!! If your comments are so negative and you feel that way maybe you should vacate the filthy island

Our present tourism model has sucked the life out of the cultural heritage of the country .......... will BahaMar do anything to restore or cultivate this aspect????? This is the hottest draw for tourists to any destination right now ............ and with Cuba opening up, what will be our cultural draw???????????

You all miss the point. Will Baha Mar actually open in 2015? That is the question
