Officer Held As Tv Taken From Pm's Home

AN officer on Prime Minister Christie’s security detail was held for questioning in connection with the removal of a television from Mr Christie’s home, The Tribune understands.

Well-placed police sources confirmed that the TV was recently removed from the pool house at the Christie’s Cable Beach compound.

The officer was detained for questioning yesterday and the TV set has been recovered, the sources said.

Investigations continue.

TV was "removed" not "allegedly taken"... Sounds like typical government spin! Lol...

Crime problem? What crime problem? What's a TV among friends, or a few hundred thousand worth of cash and jewelry?

Remember when the Governor-General's Royal Throne went a missing right after Comrade Arthur does be sitt'in in it as he be reading the Government's Speech from da Thorne at the opening of parliament? My palace sources tells me that when word reached Queen Liz in England she was liveried as hell how's someone be mess'in Her Majesty's representative's Royal Throne. And, still the PM thinks putting a policeman's on each and every corner may be the most effective crime solving solution. PM whose house can possibly be any more armed guarded than the PM's?

Stuff is hitting close to home now huh, Mr. PM? So will you start taking crime seriously or just continue to ignore it? But then again, what's a little theft among thieves anyway.....

Dumb ass,

He should have waited until the day before the Super bowel to borrow the TV.

I guess he was worried someone else would get it before him..

I wonder how much stuff goes missing from there that we don't hear about?

It's the problems you have with any maid service, food disappears, sometimes clothes and jewelry. Most times you wonder if you've just misplaced it. I know someone who had a personal cookbook stolen...good and honest help is hard to find in any industry

How can the common folks people feel the policemans can protect them when there are obvious serious security questions about protecting the PM and his DPM? Not exactly sure what Commish's security procedure is but it would creep out Bahamalanders if there are no special security clearances even for policemans who protect the PM and his family. Do you just take the off traffic beat and assign them to duty over at PM residence?

Maybe they should start that dumb survey on the police force. Find out why so many policemen are taking bribes, selling drugs, committing theft etc

Majority of the police force would be out of work...I know only a handful of honest upstanding police officers...most others are looking out for themselves and what's in it for them.

What kind of police do we have that one who has access to The Prime Minister's residence would steal something from there. I fear the day that the headlines state that one of our M.P's or cabinet ministers is seriously harmed or killed. This would be the crowning blow to kill our tourism.

Maybe the officer was just doing a bit of urban renewal in the pool house.
