A Supreme Court jury, moments ago, unanimously convicted 32-year-old Alban Johnson of statutory rape of a 14-year-old in May 2013.
The nine member jury returned with its verdict in a little under 90 minutes after being excused by Senior Justice Jon Isaac to deliberate on the charge of unlawful sexual intercourse.

BREAKING NEWS - power off for 7+ hours again, twice in 2 weeks. And BEC want a raise?? Not even a whisper about it on the radio all night long. Why is this country so backward, its like we are living in the DARK ages. If you voted FNM or PLP, you voted for this crap.

Exactly! As a matter of fact, power is STILL off in many areas and went off AGAIN after 7 this morning in others! Disgrace!

The issue is bigger than the PLP or FNM let's not lose sight of the Unions in these issues. I highly doubt that these power outages for such extended periods of time is a coincidence. Just as we need to hold the politicians feet to the fire, we also should not turn a blind eye to other agendas that are out there as well. Ultimately it is us the Bahamian people that are suffering the consequences!
