Annoyances that catch the eye

EDITOR, The Tribune.

Flag protocol? Well, we all realise that for sometime now we will not be flying the correct Bahamian flag as I understand the Chinese made a mess of the 40th anniversary order.

I listened recently I believe to a Ms Strachan from the Flag Shop and she was so interesting and explained so many things we do incorrectly.

Watching home last Sunday at Beat Retreat, the Bahamian flag was flown on a pole which was the same heights as all the others.

Ms Strachan also said when the Governor General’s flag is flying, only the Bahamian National flag can be flown… Sunday the Prime Ministers standard was flown.

Can ministers promote their family business on Facebook? A certain minister for sometime now has been promoting his family business which is located in Palmdale regularly offers merchandise and specials in his Facebook page. Surely this is incorrect.

Garbage on public beaches… Editor it is getting worse — it seems whoever is in charge simply isn’t doing their job and boy the flies! Why can’t we respect the next person wanting to use the beach and carry our garbage home?

Bay Street needs a real clean up… it is so shabby and looks unkept. Surely under the incentive Act for downtown, paint is duty free so there is no excuse.

Be proud in our small nation as it is just about all we have.
