A teenager was stabbed and two men were shot over the holiday weekend in separate incidents in the Freeport area.
The first incident occurred around 11pm on Friday, when a 19-year-old man was attacked by an unknown man in the Port Lucaya area. The teen sustained injuries to his face. He was taken to Rand Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries. He is listed in stable condition.
The second incident occurred around 2am on Saturday in the ghetto area, where two men, aged 18 and 30, were shot. When police arrived at the scene they observed one man with a gunshot injury to the leg. He was transported to Rand Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
The second victim was transported in a private vehicle to the hospital. He had sustained a gunshot wound to the stomach and told police that he had been shot while in the ghetto area.
Police are actively investigating both matters.
