THE Bahamas Select 15 will have their hands full 3pm March 22 at Winton Rugby Sports Field when the Clemson Tigers pay a visit to the Bahamas, according to a press release.
“Clemson Men’s Rugby was founded in 1967 and has a rich history of being victorious at the college level. The Clemson Tigers are also known for fighting out of their weight class as they have taken on and defeated many men’s club sides throughout the US. This will be the first of many international battles this year for the Bahamas,” said the release.
The Bahamas’ national rugby team will be preparing for a blistering schedule of international tests, starting May 3 in Freeport when they play an IRB-sanctioned game against the Cayman Islands.
Then on May 17, Mexico comes to Nassau to kick off the North American Caribbean Rugby Association (NACRA) series.
Two weeks later, May 31, the Bahamas will be off to Turks and Caicos. Then the final and most exciting match will be played in the height of the summer on June 28. Jamaica will be in town for what has always been a great game with lots of excitement.
