THE Bahamas Flag Football
League officially opened its 2014 season with a bang on Sunday with eight games at the Winton rugby pitch.
In the men’s division, the defending champions Summit Academy Ravens dominated A Sure Win Team Elite 24-6.
However, in the women’s division, there was a major upset as the defending champions, Bahamas Welding & Fire Pink Foxes, fell victim to the Sands Light Lynx 12-6.
Lorenzo Bullard, head coach of the Lynx, said: “It feels good to finally get that guerrilla off my back” as it was the first time his team beat the Pink Foxes.
