DR Myles Munroe was beloved by people around the world, and never was this more evident than when news of his tragic death spread last Sunday.

As devastating reports spread via social media that Dr Munroe was among the nine passengers who died in a deadly plane crash in Grand Bahama, religious ministers, celebrities and friends from all around the world joined Bahamians in mourning the loss of the well-known motivational speaker, author and founder of Bahamas Faith Ministries.

Dr Munroe, his wife Ruth and their party were heading to Freeport to attend the Global Leadership Forum, which he was to host. The crash occurred last Sunday afternoon and killed all nine people on board the private jet. The plane reportedly struck a crane at the Grand Bahama Shipyard, exploding on impact and crashing into the ground near a junkyard area.

Immediately following the confirmation of the crash, people took to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to offer condolences and quote some of Dr Munroe’s most memorable sayings.

“The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but a life without a purpose,” was one of the many quotes used by people expressing their sadness over his unexpected death.
