SOFTBALL

NPOTSA CHAMPIONS

THE New Providence Oldtimers Softball Association completed its championship series over the weekend in the Archdeacon William Thompson Softball Park at the Southern Recreational Grounds with the Yelroms Home Boys winning the Bursell Bradshaw divisional title with a 32-12 rout over the Da Boyz. Sidney Thomas, the winning pitcher, was named the most valuable player.

BANKER’S LEAGUE

FINAL

THE Banker’s League Softball Championship is slated to continue in the Banker’s Field at the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex on Saturday. The Fidelity Bulldogs and the CIBC/First Caribbean X-Men are currently tied at 1-1 in the best-of-seven series. Two games will be played, starting at 11am.

BOWLING

FINANCIAL LEAGUE

THE top player in the Financial Bowling League competition last night was Sammie Symonette of Strike Force, who toppled the pins for a respectable 578 three game set. Corey Bruney of Deloitte and Touche claimed the runner-up MVP Award with an outstanding high game of 242 and a 560 second high set.

Phil Sands of Leno Corporate Services downed the pins for the second high game of 210.

The ladies were led by Xynea Johnson of the Fidelity Bulldogs who dropped the pins for a 210 high game and a 560 three game set. Johnson was followed by Uchena Delvaalso of Sunshine Insurance with a 174 second high game and a 453 second high set.
