THE Island Luck Pros punched the right numbers and the PJ Stingers were stinging as the two teams pulled off big victories at the AF Adderley Gymnasium on Monday night as the New Providence Basketball Association continued its regular season.

The Pros knocked off the Double R Services Limited Cleaners 83-78 in the opening game and in the feature contest, the Stingers blasted the Patron Regulators 71-49.

Here’s a summary of the games:

Pros 83, Cleaners 78

Derek Ferguson led a balanced scoring attack with 15 points for Island Luck. Adorn Charlow pumped in 12 points and pulled down 21 rebounds, Jason Mitchell Jr added 12 points with 10 rebounds, Kevin Wright Sr had 10 points and five rebounds, Dion McPhee had 10 points and five rebounds and Livingstone Munnings chipped in with 10 points and nine rebounds.

For Double R Services Ltd, Tamiko King scored a game high 24 points with six rebounds. Jamaris King helped out with 12 points and 10 rebounds, Raynard Minus had 11 points and four rebounds and both Perez Thompson and Jonathan Edgecombe had eight points apiece and eight and six rebounds respectively.

Stingers 71, Regulators 49

Able Joseph came up with a game high 16 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals to lead PJ’s to another victory. Tevin Hudson scored 13 points, Devon Ferguson had eight points and Daniel Bullard and Vernon Stubbs both chipped in with six.

In a losing effort, Alex Rolle scored 11 points with four rebounds, Cruz Simon had nine points and three rebounds and Robert Missick and Lloyd Bailey both contributed six points. Gamaliel Rose was limited to just three points with seven rebounds and three assists.

AWARDS BANQUET

THE Roadrunners Track and Field Club is scheduled to hold its 15th Annual Presentation and Awards Banquet 7pm Saturday, November 29 in the Crown Ballroom of the Beach Towers in the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island, under the theme “Dominate the Impossible: Conquering the Unknown, Discovering Strength.” This annual event highlights the athletic and academic accomplishments of the Roadrunners’ athletes during the past year.
