THE Baptist community gathered to dedicate a new auditorium on Jean Street, Gleniston Gardens, in honour of Rev Dr William Thompson, CMG, senior pastor of Faith United Missionary Baptist Church and president of the Bahamas National Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention.
The ceremony was held on the 56th Baptist Recognition Day and the Prime Minister, Perry Christie gave remarks.
Mr Christie is pictured at the podium with Rev Thompson seated left while the audience listens attentively. The dedication launched two weeks of Baptist community activity, culminating in a Baptist Day Parade on October 19.
