Man in hospital after shooting

POLICE are seeking the public’s help in solving a shooting that left a man in hospital on Tuesday.

Shortly after 9pm, a man was driving on Bernard Road when the driver of a Dodge Ram truck bumped into his vehicle from behind, police said.

“The man got out of his vehicle and was shot to the neck by the male occupant of the truck who sped off,” police said.

The victim was taken to hospital and is in serious condition.

Investigations are continuing.

Armed robbery

TWO gunmen robbed a business of cash on Tuesday, police said.

The incident occurred just after 1pm when the two armed men entered the business in Golden Palms Estates, near the Kennedy Subdivision.

They made off with cash and three cell phones before fleeing on foot.

Investigations continue into the matter.

Homicide victims identified

POLICE have formally identified two of the country’s recent homicide victims.

The first victim has been identified as 20–year-old Larenz Whyms of Colony Village who was shot and killed at Baldwin Avenue on October 11.

The second victim has been identified as 22-year-old Jermaine Minnis of Montell Heights and Nassau Village. Minnis was shot and killed at Williams Street in Nassau Village on October 10.
