A BELGIAN man accused of stealing more than $200,000 from two customers must wait another three weeks before he receives a magistrate’s ruling in the two cases.

Jean Paul Michelsen, chief operating officer of Stellar Energy’s proposed waste-to-energy plant, appeared before Magistrate Guilimina Archer for a decision in his first of two trials on stealing by reason of service.

However, Magistrate Archer said her ruling was still not ready and adjourned the case to November 7.

Michelsen has denied stealing $161,790 belonging to Carlton Wilkinson between January 24 and May 1, 2012.

He was reportedly contracted to bring in renewable energy units for the complainant, but allegedly never did so.

Michelsen, in a separate case, is alleged to have stolen $55,145 from L’Neil Corriveau between April 12, 2011 and April 3, 2013 for the same reason.

A ruling is scheduled to be delivered in that matter on November 10.

Michelsen remains on $15,000 bail in the Corriveau case and $25,000 bail in the Wilkinson case.

He is represented by Tonique Lewis.
