A HUGE opportunity awaits the Bahamian group The HD Boyz when they participate in the “Beast of the Beats” competition next month.

This will be the first time the ever that the Bahamas participates in the world famous music producer tournament in New York City from November 6-9.

The HD Boyz, made up of Showtime Shaddy, EJ Sargent, Sniper and PC, will represent their country in this competition.

Hosted by iStandard Producers, “Beast of the Beats” is a popular tournament where music producers from all across the United States converge in New York to compete for the grand prize, which includes a filmed studio session, placement with a major artist and a Monster Energy Drink sponsorship. The winner will also receive free music software courtesy of Native Instruments, Ableton, IK Multimedia and iZotope, and a homepage interview with iStandard Producers.

The members of HD Boyz said they are more than excited for the competition because they believe they have what it takes to bring home some of the top prizes.

The HD Boyz were afforded this opportunity by competing and winning the iCreate Music All Access Seminar Beat Battle held last month at Atlantis.

Gregory Collie, founder of iCreate, said the group will also participate in The Beat Camp, which is comprised of classroom discussions on producer branding, management, A&R meeting simulations, networking and relationships, songwriter, producer synergy, sampling and live mixing sessions.

They will also be taught by producers and engineers with major credits and music business professionals.

The HD Boyz have been making music for several years now and have produced tracks for many fellow musicians. This group of producers has been putting countless hours in the studio every day to create some of the best quality beats.

During an online interview, the group said they are hoping to leave their mark on the competition.

Past “Beast of the Beats” winners have gone on to build successful music careers by working with the likes of Kanye West, Rick Ross, Wale, French Montana, The Game, TI and Meek Mill.

This year will prove to be the grandest tournament to date as there will be a record 100 producers competing for the top spot (last year saw 80 producers compete).

This year’s judges and camp instructors will include legendary, Grammy award winning producers like DJ Premier, Rockwilder, Symbolyc One, Amadeus, Llmind, Ryan West, Cardiak, Ski Beatz, Jimi Kendrix and many more.

“We are throwing our full support behind the HD Boyz to put the Bahamas on the map musically and bring the crown back to the 242,” iCreate’s Mr Collie said.
