Bahamian firm's principal meets Chinese Ambassador

Bahamaren’s chief executive, Latrae Rahming, has met the Chinese Ambassador to the Bahamas, Yuan Guisen, to discuss how the economic and trade relationship between the two nations can be strengthened.

Their talks focused on domestic issues - investment, trade, business, education and tourism activities. Three sectors have been identified as critical to the development of a long-term partnership between the Bahamas and China - tourism, education, and agriculture.

Mr Rahming said Bahamaren aimed to strengthen this nation’s engagement with China. He said: “The Bahamas needs to ensure it is in the best possible position to benefit from China’s continued growth and prosperity.”
