While Prime Minister Christie celebrated the 50th anniversary of Black Tuesday in the dark, BEC Chairman Leslie Miller was informing the residents of New Providence that they will again have to do without electricity this weekend in order that the National Stadium is supplied for the IAAF World Relays “to avoid an international embarrassment.” What world is Miller living in that he cannot comprehend the international embarrassment that BEC and his government already are?
Miller further stated that “When the brothers in the east are sweating, people in the stadium will be able to watch the games.” What about the brothers who live in the west, Cable Beach for example, do they get to sweat along with us outside children in the east?
Mr Miller has once again ably demonstrated to the country and world at large that he only opens his mouth to change feet.
Our hotel guests island wide seriously inconvenienced, numerous local businesses forced to close their doors at who knows what cost yet, residents contemplating spoilt food and ruined appliances with no chance of redress.
Not all Bahamians were celebrating Black Tuesday Prime Minister.

It is not expected that all Bahamians will celebrate "Black Tuesday" especially not those who are ashamed to be Bahamian.
