In other crime news, police arrested two men on Friday after a short high-speed chase on Carmichael road.

According to reports, shortly after 11pm, officers from the Southwestern Division were on mobile patrol on Carmichael Road near McKinney Drive, when they observed a black Honda Accord with two male occupants driving in a suspicious manner.

The officers ordered the men to stop the vehicle, but they refused and sped off.

A chase followed. The vehicle came to a stop when it collided with another car.

The two male occupants ran from the vehicle and threw a plastic bag to the ground, police said.

The officers retrieved the bag containing a quantity of marijuana and took the two males, ages 27 and 20, into custody.
