“PM: Minnis not a threat – Christie says FNM leader has a lot of work to do.” – The Nassau Guardian.
Excerpt from this story: “Free National Movement (FNM) Leader Dr. Hubert Minnis has been touting his party’s ‘victory train’ ever since his re-election at the FNM’s convention in November, but Prime Minister Perry Christie said Minnis is not a threat to him.”
I guess when it comes to politics people are very different, I say this to say that if a person was not a threat to me I would not even openly address them and make them an issue; but then that is just me. If I were doing what I feel what was right by the people and I feel that I had the people’s confidence,
I would have never remarked in such manner, especially not openly but there seems to be a “bee” in the Prime Minister’s “bonnet”. The only logical conclusion is that the Prime Minister has been advised to diffuse the notion that he is losing public confidence especially after the poll taken on a local radio show this past Friday; I sense blood in the waters.
The Prime Minister speaks to what Dr Minnis has done to an “unsuspecting” Loretta Butler-Turner, a point that is now not germane, all in an attempt to seemingly paint Dr. Minnis as a “bad guy” but if we were to delve into the history of the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP); well let me say that I do not think the Prime Minister wants to start this particular “‘war”.
The Prime Minister criticises Dr. Minnis’ ability to get people to believe him while he (the Prime Minister) goes on to make even more promises, a formula that I guess in his mind made him the most viable candidate for Prime Minister in 2012, I would say he is fundamentally flawed in his reasoning. I would say this because as the Prime Minister goes on to make even promises of a “better tomorrow” when all the average person sees are the failures of this Prime Minister and his cabinet over the past two plus years and are now seriously doubting his ability to lead them going forward.
Yes, Mr Prime Minister, it is true that Dr Minnis has a lot of work ahead of him in uniting the FNM party as we move closer to 2017 but I would caution you to watch the PLP’s bridge to the future as another link – it’s understood that the Hon Damian Gomez considers resigning from the PLP’s cabinet.

Mr.Christie Never mind what Papa Ingraham's children say . Jesus chose 12 men. Judas was a traitor and the others were slow learners. but they did learn. so far it seems a few have gone their own way. it is all right you are still ahead. and Pap's children will just have to deal with it all. God will always bless you for what you have done. for the people of the Bahamas. Some will hate you and some will love you. But God will always bless you. the great Judge..
