THE ordination of Hermes J Laing and Perez Albury to the Sacred Order of Deacons in the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church will be held Friday night at 7.30pm – not tonight as previously reported – at the Church of the Nativity.
They will be ordained by Rev David R Simpson, Bishop of the Diocese of Florida and the Caribbean, and by the courtesy of Pastor Mario Moxey.
The ordination rite will be celebrated at the Bahamas Harvest Church, Prince Charles Drive.
Then on Sunday, January 25, the Bishop will administer the Sacrament of Holy Confirmation at the Church of the Nativity, 284 Carmichael Road, at 9am during the celebration of the holy Eucharist.
The church’s rector, Dr E Etienne Bowleg, extends a warm welcome to all who may wish to support the candidates and ordinands respectively.
