I note in the Grapevine of today’s date that the Punch is intimating that I am upset about not having been named a QC.
Please be advised that I am aware that as I no longer practice law as I am a retired Justice of the Supreme Court I do not qualify to be named as a Queen’s Counsel. Consequently if I was nominated as such it would have been incumbent on me to decline the offer. It is always good to know and understand the rules of one’s profession.
