FNM Leader Dr Hubert Minnis participated in the Eleuthera Junior Junkanoo Parade held in Governor’s Harbour over the weekend.
His participation lived up to a promise he made in February last year during a visit to the Preston H Albury High School, where he told students he would return for the parade.
Dr Minnis flew to Eleuthera on Saturday for the event.
The parade featured students from Deep Creek Middle School, Central Eleuthera, North Eleuthera, and Preston H Albury High Schools.
Primary schools included Rock Sound, Governors Harbor, Wemyss Bight, and Emma E Cooper Primary schools.
Dr Minnis, an avid Junkanooer with the Saxons, joined in the rush with Preston Albury High and demonstrated his cowbelling prowess.
