PROVERBS 16:16 states, “How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.”
Rev Stephen Smith, pastor of Ebenezer Union Baptist Church in Farmer’s Hill, Exuma, along with congregation members expressed pride in all the students who were recently recognised for their academic achievements – a GPA of 3.5 and above – during the Second Annual District Awards Ceremony by the Ministry of Education for Exuma, Ragged Island and Exuma Cays District.
Thalia Smith, D’Nelle Thompson, Miracle Armbrister and Ervin Smith all made the Principal’s List, while Travon Brice was honoured for having outstanding BJC results.
Pamela Gorte, district education superintendent, and her team organised a successful event held at Sandals Emerald Bay under the theme, “Celebrating Excellence In Education”.
Rev Smith encouraged the students to continue to strive for excellence and to always keep God first in their lives.
