Teenager arrested after man is shot in the hip

POLICE arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with a shooting that occurred Tuesday morning.

According to police reports, shortly after 7am, a man was at his Denver Street off Park Gate Road home when a man, armed with a handgun, shot him in his hip. The victim was taken to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

A short while later, officers from the Northeastern Division arrested the teen suspect in the area, after they found a handgun containing two rounds of ammunition in his possession.

Police are also investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon. Just after 2pm a man was on Finlayson Street when he was shot in his leg, police were told. The victim was taken to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Investigations are ongoing.

Wanted bulletins

POLICE have issued wanted bulletins for several men they believe can assist with current investigations.

The Royal Bahamas Police Force believes 24–year-old Geovanny Lafleur, also known as “Stickman”, of Hope Gardens and Alexander Boulevard, can help with a murder investigation.

The murder in question occurred at Matthew Street, Nassau Village on May 8. Mr Lafleur has a dark brown complexion and is about 5ft 8in and of a slim build.

Police are also seeking 36–year-old Tino Kevin Scott, of Allen Drive, for help with an investigation into threats of death. He is a dark brown male, about 5ft 8in in height and of a slim build.

Police also believe two men can help with ongoing investigations into human trafficking. They want to speak with 48–year-old Edward Adderley, of Boatswain Hill, and 41-year-old Carlos Wells of Columbus Cove, West Bay Street.

Adderley is a dark brown male, about 5ft 7in in height, and of slim build.

Wells is a brown male about 6ft in height and of a medium build.
