EDITOR, The Tribune.
Seemingly until this year Remembrance Day was a must attend event on the calendar of our elected people and obviously the Veterans – not in 2015.
No, Prime Minister – if ZNS showed them and you know they do, only three, perhaps four Ministers – virtually no other MPs, except for the Leader of the Opposition alone, no other FNM MPs. What I found interesting, especially watching the evening news, was that the Speaker was not at Christ Church Cathedral, but appeared on a news item concerning the anniversary of the air crash of Pastor Myles Munroe. I have to ask: Priority, sir!
Where were the veterans? As the song goes...gone to pastures far away! Protesting the impasse between them and government over their pensions.
Sorry, Mr Prime Minister - Minister of Finance – this is a “teachable” never disrespect the aged and especially those who took up for your country, even if it was then for the King.
Remembrance Day without veterans is crazy, but it seems everything around here is always that way. It is as if we like to have it crazy!
Ashamed - we spend “ooo, ooo’s” on irrelevant matters and cannot resolve a simple matter as concerning these aged Veteran’s Pensions. Where is the heart, Prime Minister Minister? Are these 80 year olds now like the unwanted material and thrown away?
