Police seized almost 100 pounds of marijuana in Exuma on Saturday.
According to reports, around 10am, police and officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, acting on information, conducted a search of a speedboat at Children’s Cay off Barraterre, Exuma where they uncovered the drugs.
No one is yet in custody in connection with the seizure.
• Two men are in custody following a stabbing incident on Saturday night.
Shortly before 8.00pm, a man was involved in an altercation with two men on Village Road that led to him being stabbed. The victim was transported to hospital where he remains in stable condition.
The two men were subsequently arrested.

This must be a joke !! 100lbs of marijuana is nothing in the scheme of things, not even a drop in the ocean. What this "headline" is, is pure spin. We all know that the numbers people now control the gambling, strip clubs, prostitution, drugs, contract killings and all other illegal activities. And since Christie legalized them, despite the results of the referendum, the numbers people can now do anything they wish, with impunity. But of course, Joe Public, we the people who Christie thinks are "too stupid to know better" must be fed a story like this every so often, to make it seem as if the Government is doing something about crime. Yippee.....100lbs of weed, Hurrah.......five gang members on trial. And all the time it is so obvious that the few who get put on trial, or the drugs that are busted, or the strip club that is closed down once a year, these are from the competitors of the numbers king pins. Do they really think we are that stupid ?

No one gives a damn about people dealing and smoking marijuana. Its a non issue.

As much as the PLP loves our tax dollars you would think they would legalize the weed and tax it. If they did that there would be so much more for them to steal.

Why not legalize weed??? Because the holier than thou Bahamas Christians Council would vehemently oppose it, and the dumb ass politicians would bow to their demands, because the politicians depend on votes from BCC dumbass followers.
