LOURAWLS “Tum Tum” Nairn had a lot to be thankful for - another win as the starting point guard for one of the top teams in all of college basketball and a career night.

The No.3 ranked Michigan Spartans remained undefeated with a 99-68 win over the Boston College Eagles at the DirectTV Wooden Legacy in Fullerton, California.

Nairn scored a career high 13 points and equalled his career high with eight assists.

Nairn came out offensive minded and on the second offensive possession for the Spartans, connected on his first jumper. He finished 5-9 from the field, including 2-4 from three-point range. It was the 500th victory for Spartans head coach Tom Izzo.

The Spartans shot 63 per cent and dominated the boards 38-20.

Michigan State co-captain Denzel Valentine finished with a triple double - 29 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

After the final buzzer, Izzo’s players gathered around him at mid court, holding up ‘’Izzo 500’’ signs and posing for photos.

The Spartans are scheduled to face the Boise State Broncos tonight.

Nairn’s previous career highs during his freshman season were eight points at Rutgers on January 29 and eight assists dished out against Minnesota on February 26.
