SEPTEMBER has arrived, which means many fishermen will start checking their rods, reels and tackle boxes in anticipation for the first Wahoo bite.
Typically Wahoo start biting in the southern Bahamas (San Salvador) in late September, early October and migrate north until late February. This is not to say that smaller Wahoo will not bite in other islands of the Bahamas in late September.
So now is the time to begin researching new lures on the market, thinking about the lures you had the most success with last year and analysing the locations and techniques that you can improve on this year.
Good preparation is the key to to fun and successful fishing.
