TROPICAL Storm Fred continued to weaken far out in the Atlantic Ocean on Thursday and is expected to become a post-tropical low by Friday.
The storm’s maximum sustained winds were reported by the US National Hurricane Centre as near 40mph. It was centred about 760 miles west-north-west of the Cape Verde Islands moving west-north-west near 9mph.
