Re: Ground broken on $2.3m BTVI classroom building (August 26)
BEARING in mind the very expensive BAMSI fiasco, we must hope that this $2.3m for BTVI includes a few smoke/fire alarms, and perhaps even one or two functioning fire extinguishers.

What we would also like to know is when was this project put out for public tender and which companies were invited to bid? Who are the principals of Commonwealth Construction the company that was awarded the contract? As they aren't listed members of the Bahamian Contractors Association is it possible that they are another BAMSI type Darrell & Co created company? Inquiring minds would like to know.
