Calvary Deliverance Church celebrates 34th annual convention

PASTOR James Newry and Elder Queenie Newry, leaders of the Calvary Deliverance Church on East Street South, are inviting all Bahamians to attend the church’s 34th annual convention starting this Sunday.

Pastor Newry selected the theme “A New Vision” for this year’s five-day convention. It is the hope of the church’s leadership that the Bahamas will experience a revival of epic proportions and that a record number of souls will be brought to repentance.

“Love will be restored among the family and community. (God) declares that we as a country will continue to lift up the bloodstain banner for holiness and righteousness and that Jesus Christ is Lord of the Bahamas,” said Pastor Newry.

“Although circumstances may seem dim, we are assured from the scriptures that God is with us and that the vision, though it tarries, will speak and not lie.”

This Sunday, service times are at 8am and 10.30am, with a special midday impartation service at 12.30pm featuring guest speaker Apostle Denise Johnson.

“The transformative life-giving Word of God for these five days of celebration promises to inspire the lives of those in attendance.

“Energetic and anointed speakers include Pastor Frank Ray of Tennessee, Evangelist Carnetta Ferguson, Apostle Denice Johnson, Bishop Lincoln Wright of Boston, Pastor Sharon Rolle,” said Pastor Newry, who serves as the conference’s host.

Other special guests include the Church of God of Prophecy brass band, Pastor Terrence Forbes, the Transformation Ministries praise team, Edison Sumner & Voices of Praise, Christian Massive, Prophet Lawrence Rolle, the Christian Tabernacle Ministries praise team, and Calvary’s Fine Arts Ministry dance team.

The general public is invited to attend this time of praise, worship, ministry in dance, fellowship, and most of all, the life-changing Word of God.
