Exuma’s Nehemiah Rolle awarded for dedicated and unselfish service

By VANESSA C SMITH

DR Dorothy Height once said, “Without community service we would not have a strong quality of life.

It’s important to the person who serves as well as the recipient. It’s the way in which we ourselves grow and develop.”

Nehemiah Rolle, born and raised in the Farmer’s Hill community, is a true believer of giving back to his community and the island of Exuma.

He was recently recognised and awarded for his unselfish service by Rev Stephen Smith and the Ebenezer Church family.

Mr Rolle does not give a second thought when asked to lend a helping hand; he just does it. He will arrive before time and even use his personal resources just to get the job done.

He is a very humble man who meets the needs of others and ensures that the young and old are well taken care of.
