A SKYGUARD thunderstorm warning has been issued for Freeport for 8.15pm to 9.15pm on Tuesday.
Accuweather reported that a heavy thunderstorm is approaching Grand Bahama and will pass over, or just north of, the area.
"This storm will be capable of producing lightning as well as heavy rainfall with rates of approaching 0.50 inches per hour at times. Rainfall totals will range between 0.30-0.60 inches, though locally higher amounts around 1.00 inch will be possible where the heaviest rain falls," the report said.
