Hundreds of believers gathered for the United Worship 2016 gospel event, which organisers said, saw many lives touched, changed and ministered to.

The United Worship 2016 kicked off last Friday and the Word of God was spread through praise and worship, dance and mime.

Coordinator of the concert, Stefphen Sands, CEO of the Grace Management Group, said the event surpassed his expectations and accomplished its overall goal of getting people focused and established in their relationship with God.

“The event was tremendous. Hundreds gathered this weekend and we believe that lives were changed. Praise teams were impacted and persons were left feeling refocused and refreshed. United Worship is expected to continue in 2017, as was announced on the final night of conference,” he told Tribune Religion.

Mr Sands said United Worship is a gathering of all churches and denominations in the Bahamas, and last Friday they all came together for a time of intimate prayer and praise and worship. It is an event for people of all ages and from all denominations to worship as one, he said.

“United Worship came about after seeking God for more of Him in a real way, and after hearing messages from my senior pastor, the Lord spoke and said to me, ‘Invade my country with worship and unite the body’, and that’s how that came about,” he said.

In addition to the main concert, there was also a “Concert of Prayer”, where prayer warriors or intercessors from around the country led prayers for the nation and other concerns.

Mr Sands said he is looking forward to hosting the event again in 2017 given the great impact this instalment had on those who attended.
