EIGHTEEN Bahamians were among the graduates receiving the Legal Education Certificate from the Eugene Dupuch Law School at the Melia Nassau Beach Resort on Saturday at the presentation ceremony.
Former Chief Justice Sir Michael Barnett told the 20 graduates from the two-year programme that the profession they have chosen carries with it great responsibility and imposes very high standards. He spoke of the core values that would serve them during their career.
One student from the British Virgin Islands and one from Trinidad and Tobago received the Legal Education Certificate while two six-month students, from the United States and Canada, received the Legal Education Certificate. Reginald Armour, Chairman of the Council of Legal Education, presented the certificates. To date, 417 students have graduated from the Law School.
