Part of a democracy. Be grateful we still have one (or what's left of it).

I was referring to Fitzgerald dancing like a jackass. Knowing fully well what hit the paper today.

I should have been more specific.

Happy people dance and sing. It is a good thing perhaps more Bahamians should try it and there will be less crime,

LBT has sealed her fate ............ She had a little motorcade from her HQ .......... But this is the end of her political career .......... The Gay Boy had a pretty little motorcade as well ....... But this is the Peoples' Time ................. Adrian Gibson and the FNM will win by a landslide in Long Island

What I would like to know is how so many people get time off to attend these nomination events. I know you need a certain amount of signatures, but don't these people work?

Also, why don't they change the law so that the nomination fee is not returned? The treasury always broke, so why can't it keep all of that money instead of refunding those who get a certain amount of votes, especially to mostly rich people, or people who will soon be rich.

175 candidates X $400.00 = $70,000 .......... But the election is going to cost the Treasury at least $3 or $4 million ........... That is why the nomination fee should have been a non-refundable fee of at least $1,000.00 ......... We are still using out-dated government fees that do not reflect the cost of public financing and budgeting ............. And there are still no campaign financing laws to track the REAL cost of elections on the Treasury ......... A conservative guess would be at least $200 million
